Lisa G.

ASL Professor

Lisa holds a master's degree in Deaf Studies/Deaf Education from Lamar University, and a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Texas State University. She has also completed all of her doctoral course work in Deaf Studies at Lamar University in Texas. For most of her career, she has taught many ASL classes in various colleges and universities and presented workshops and training on various ASL-related topics for 20+years. She is currently working as a full-time Professor at Austin Community College (ACC), teaching ASL in various capacities such as traditional, hybrid/flipped classroom and online. During her time at ACC, she has received a Teacher Excellence Award.  Also, she has worked as an American Sign Language Proficiency Evaluator at ASL Diagnostic and Evaluation Services (ASL-DES) at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. In addition to her experiences, Lisa Gelineau co-authored and published an online e-workbook, TRUE+WAY ASL, recently released on July 2017.

Corey G.

Adjunct Professor

Corey is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Gallaudet University, and a master’s degree in Deaf Education from McDaniel College. Before joining ACC as an adjunct professor, he worked as a Transition Specialist, American Sign Language Instructor, Computer Teacher and Lab Coordinator, and an Outreach Communication Specialist. On his down time, he is a die-hard Cornhuskers football fan and enjoys collecting Nebraska Cornhuskers memoirs, and spending family-time with his sons and his wife.
